Granola bars, yoga bars or energy bars are a very popular snack these days. They are nutritious and easy to make at home. Here is our recipe. Do you have a variation?
Do you know store-bought granola is usually packed with hidden sugar/oils, artificial ingredients and high calories. Homemade granola in small servings are great sources of energy. You can also exclude nuts you may be allergic to.
Ingredients
1 cup whole rolled oats
1 cup of raw nuts (any available nut such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios etc can be used. )
¼ cup raw pumpkin seeds
¼ cup dried cranberries
2-3 tbsp. of honey
Method
On medium gas, put a nonstick pan on and add all the nuts to slow roast them for 5-7 minutes.
Stir and add oats, pumpkin seeds and cranberries to the mixture.
Roast for another 5 minutes and add in the honey.
Remove the mixture in a thin layer onto a baking sheet lined with butter paper.
After the mix has cooled completely, cut into equal squares or bars.

Whole oats provide high fiber and iron in this recipe, while nuts are a good protein source and heart-healthy with unsaturated fats. Homemade granola in small servings are great sources of energy.
